I asked how I could clean up EVP recordings answer Try AUDACITY or ARDOUR I have a PC cannot download?

new PC just learning audacity & ardour appear to be free do they work on a pc or just apple/mac
trying to edit (clean up) EVP’s electronic voice phenomanon on my PC. I’m looking for good software to do this. It was suggested that I try AUDACITY or ARDOUR programs. These appear to be free when I look on web. I am unable to download them. I do not understand the language. Wil I I be able to use a PC or can it only be done on an APPLE or MAC Do you know of any software , free or at a cost, that I could use that isn’t too difficult to run and use?
