Does anyone know of good tour groups for international travel?

I am a single female in her 30s who is hoping to travel abroad this August. I am travelling alone and would like to join in a group tour. I would like to travel to Thailand, but am open to suggestions. I thought about travelling with REI Adventures, but some of their trips are very costly. I found some websites on group travel, but don’t know too much about the companies’ reputation.

I believe on lonelyplanet.com there is a message board where you can make plans with other single travellers, and correspond some sort of meet-up.
