I am a single female in her 30s who is hoping to travel abroad this August. I am travelling alone and would like to join in a group tour. I would like to travel to Thailand, but am open to suggestions. I thought about travelling with REI Adventures, but some of their trips are very costly. I found some websites on group travel, but don’t know too much about the companies’ reputation.
I cannot contain my excitement, this is all I think about. I am going to India for about 6 weeks, backpacking for 2, China backpacking one week, and Africa one adventure tour and 3 weeks volunteering. I am spending everyday doing research and planning. I really need to get into good shape to make the best out of my trip, btw I am going completely solo and will probably be staying in cheap hostels. What can I expect from this trip, how great will this experience be?
I am looking for somewhere with numerous hiking options, waterfalls, forests, nice beaches, and rich culture. If you have travelled to any such places, which stand out to you as the best?
I’ve always gone to the beach or the mountains for relaxation. Now that I’m older and seeing that there is so much to do in the world, I want to go on an adventerous trip and explore the world, but I’m unsure of where to start and what a good first adventure would be.
