A few years ago my boyfriend and I went on a self-drive vacation to Costa Rica. We really liked being somewhat independent, yet having hotels and different tours booked for us. We want to do something similar in November, and preferably have whitewater rafting included. Where should we go?

I want to take a bike tour but when I went to a travel agent she thought I was crazy. She told me “There is nobody that stupid out there that would ride a bicycle to travel cross country or even dream of that”! Insulted I left. Any Advice ??
I cannot contain my excitement, this is all I think about. I am going to India for about 6 weeks, backpacking for 2, China backpacking one week, and Africa one adventure tour and 3 weeks volunteering. I am spending everyday doing research and planning. I really need to get into good shape to make the best out of my trip, btw I am going completely solo and will probably be staying in cheap hostels. What can I expect from this trip, how great will this experience be?
Has anyone here have used Disney Adventures Tour Services to travel overseas? If so, how was their Service, Prices, Travel Locations, Etc. I’m looking to visit Peru and Italy within the next 24 months and needed some feedback. Thank you all.
